What to do with ferrous sulphate ?

Q. We are a steel manufacturer who also have an in-house kettle. We have a large surplus of the bi-product (Zinc ferrous sulfate on eBay or Amazon [affil link] Heptahydrate)generated by our pickling process. Our problem is what to do with it. I know that it has been used in fertilizer and waste water treatment but I can't find any info anywhere on who would be interested in buying this bi-product. Any help would be much appreciated.

A. Municipal water treatment plants use the ferrous that you are describing as a coprecipitant to aid in clarification. I don't know about the zinc though, I am guessing that might spoil it for that use.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
