"Yellowed" fiberglass tub/shower enclosure

I own a 27 year old house in a suburb of San Diego,CA. The fiberglass tub/shower enclosure has "yellowed" over the years. It it wasn't true white as new. What can I use to "lighten" it up?

this is due to the fact that it got degraded with environmental actions. Now you can mix a white pigment to a polyester or epoxy resin and do some putty work over the tub using glass fibers. be careful with glass fiber --es they may really harm you

Contact a professional tub restorer. They can re-coat it with a two part acrylic or polyester to any color that you want. Not cheap, but cheaper than a new shower, not counting the tear-out and installation of a new one.
