Delamination of AL foil

WE have a adhesive bond failure due to oil on the 12 micron Aluminum foil which is laminated to a printed PET film. How do you check the presence of oil on a al-foil surface? and how can one quantify it?

There are two kinds of aluminium foil problem when you have not good lamination because of foil.
first: the foil surface is still oily. you can check it by the water dispersion test method.
if you drop some water on aluminium foil surface, and , find the drops are completely disperse on foil , for a long time , you should be sure the foil has not any oil.
But if the drops try to achieve the circular drop form again. you could find its oily.
you can see this test on an oily dishes and a clean dish too.

Second , find when the aluminium foil has a lot of aluminium oxide on its surface. you will not have good adhesion on the surface again.
