-----Titanium plating for cymbals
I'm going to be a student of music (drums). I recently found a cymbal co. that has "titanium" cymbals. my question is are they really titanium? the co name is laser etched into the product. I want to know how I can plate them myself so I can get rid of the co name. Thank you for your time.

They could be titanium, Jason, or that could just be a trade name; sorry but I don't know. If they are titanium it is nearly impossible to plate them yourself because of the tenacious titanium oxide film which forms on titanium almost instantly. Normally, plating would not conceal the etching. Good luck.
