PEARL ANODIZING

Dear Sirs,

I recently received an enquiry regarding PEARL Anodizing. Has anyone heard this term "PEARL ANODIZING" before? Do you know how does this process is carried out? My customer told me that it is a normal anodizing process put through a special sealing process to create a PEARL Satin finish, as why it is called PEARL ANODIZING. Is this true? Your information is highly appreciated.

We have a customer who requests this finish on his polish / anodized aluminum bicycle frames, it is basicly a clear coat paint or powder paint with pearlescent powders. They can range from silver to gold to any color tint you like. regarding your other question on casting, we have experimented with cast bike parts but still nothing decent...we continue to ED Black or powder coat cast parts.

Best of luck...
