A. These finish designations are both electroplated cadmium per QQ-P-416. Finish 1.1.2.2 is Type II, Class 2, 0.0003 inch (7.6 microns) thick, chromated normal color (not bleached or clear). Finish 1.1.3.2 is Type III, Class 2, 0.0003 inch (7.6 microns) thick, phosphated. Both items note "See 5.1.3.3" which is unclear to me. Perhaps your cadmium plater or someone else on this site can explain further. You can download and QQ-P-416F (superseded by AMS AMSQQP416) from the Defense Department's ASSIST site: http://assist1.daps.dla.mil/quicksearch/
