-----Black Chrome - Misplates and Poor Coverage
Presently we black chrome stainless steel products. Our process uses Reverse cleaner, Direct Cleaner, Activator & Black Chrome. We suffer misplates and poor coverage. My question, Is there a "Guide to Trouble Shooting Black Chrome"?

You need a nickel layer between the stainless steel and the black chromium. First you need a strike nickel layer to activate the stainless steel and prevent adhesion problems, then you need a layer of bright nickel.
