Process for plating on bakelite

Hello everybody,

We have heard of bakelite components which is get plated very well in Italy, we have seen the quality its better plated satin nickel - chrome and bright nickel - chrome,better than ABS components, can anyone suggest me the best supplier or the process sequence , or some tips whether this process can be done very easily at production level, some details will do.
