Getting paint off iron bed

My wife has an iron bed that she would like to take the old paint off. What is the best way?

The best way is to send it to a stripping service because they operate hot dipping tanks, they can safely employ solvents that you can't, and they are familiar from decades of experience with the various paints and how to strip them. One such stripping service is Buffalo Refinishing Services, but there probably are others closer to you.

You might try some brake fluid on eBay or Amazon [affil links] on a small out of the way place. Collect and dispose of the waste legally and properly.
