-----Is brass or stainless better?
Hi, will anybody know: which metal has better surface finish and corrosion resistance, and why? Either stainless steel or brass. Thanks.

Both can be mirror polished. Do you need a finish better than that? Both the term 'brass' and the term 'stainless steel' cover wide ranges of alloys, and the corrosion resistance of an alloy depends on the environment it is in, so your question is pretty hard to answer, although stainless is probably more universally corrosion resistant. But make mine out of brass please.
