ZrN coating

I am engineer that designs dies. I will try ZrN coating in 2 cases: 1- aluminum injection die casting, for that the melt aluminum does not make adhesion with the die 2- for a turning insert that turns aluminum and low carbon steel at the same time is there any experience in these 2 subjects?

Dear Ahmet,

Since ZrN doesn't have a high temperature oxidation resistance; it might be hard to take excellent results.. CrN may work better.
