Painting a blued gun

I have a gun has reblueing and some reason I have to paint the gun. What type of paint should I use to not hurt blueing? Also, Can I use paint remover or paint thinner when I remove paint later? I wonder do those chemical hurt blueing or not? Can anybody help me this unusual question?

Dear Ken!

You can use paint thinner or acetone ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] Flammable! or any similar solvent. Forget paint stripper. You can use acrylic or nitro-cellulose based paint.

Good luck!
