Anodized aluminum cleaning

I am new to anodized aluminum cleaning and polishing. I've got a 195 Cessna that needs cleaning and polishing and I'd like some advice on the subject. I'm thinking of an acid wash initially then orbital polishing. Is the acid wash safe for all metal parts of the AC?
