Market for small plating shop

I would like to know if there is a market for plastic or metal plating in eastern Kentucky, either locally or those willing to ship product in. I am a plater and wish to start a small shop in this area.

Hello, Jeanne. Electroplating has been a jobshop oriented business for about 100 years, and manufacturing has been moving offshore. This pretty much means that the demand was satisfied decades ago. If you can offer something better than the existing suppliers(better service, quality, or price immediately come to mind), there is a market anywhere; if you can't, there is a market nowhere. I am being sincere, not facile. A market study may be important if you are introducing a unique new snack food, but is pretty nearly worthless for a startup plating jobshop. Good luck.
