I NEED TO PLATE A VERY SOFT METAL ONTO A ROLLER

I need to be able to plate onto a roller made of steel or stainless steel a 1 micron of a very soft metal all around the roller. The softer the better! The plating has to be much softer than a nickel electroform. Your help will be very much appreciated.

Copper, tin, cadmium, and lead are four plateable metals that come to mind quickly.

Try Indium, it is very soft and easily plateable.

Have you considered a Ion Vapor Deposited Aluminum (IVD). This is not a plating process but will provide a uniform "soft" finish.

DEAR DAN,

COPPER IS WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR. AFTER 28 YEARS OF PLATING THIS WOULD BE YOUR BEST BET.

THANKS.
