-----Rust Removal
2004
I would like to know if there is a rust remover for :
1. coastal conditions, i.e., due to sea problem creating a sort of white rust
2. inland condition, i.e., bad brown nasty rusting. especially at large steel plant what can be used to eliminate problem and where can these be obtained in South Africa and what is required to solve problem.
Regards,

Dear Mr Allan,
Corrosion happens, thats why the wheels of commerce keep moving! No you cannot remove white rust, but you can try using a zinc-phosphate based paint which will retard further corrosion.
Re, Red rusting in Steel Mills, get hold of a iron phosphate based chemical which you will apply all over the red rust, turning it to a grey black before applying zinc-phosphate based paint over it.
