Electropolishing tin foil
2004
Hi,
I am trying to find a process for electropolishing tin foil. I need to attain smoother foil surfaces for anodization trials I am running (currently assisting chemists in the lab who are working on surface treatments), and I haven't been able to track down this kind of information anywhere. Can you suggest something?
Thanks...

I find it very unrealistic to electropolish foil if it's too thin, as it has very little material to etch away (that's how electropolishing works) and to carry the amperage needed. Could it be possible to re-laminate it between highly polished rolls?. That would seem a little bit more feasible to me.

You can find some useful informations on next website: http://kaker.com/etch/java/
Hope it helps!
