Q. Trying to find out what is meant by: Finish: "Clean to DTD901" this is on a component we are making from 304 Stainless Steel.

A. DTD 901F "Cleaning and Preparation of Metal Surfaces" was a British Defence standard that was cancelled in 1986. It has been replaced by DEF STAN 03-2. You may obtain it from the DSTAN website using the following link: www.dstan.mod.uk/data/03/002/00000300.pdf
