Nickel-chrome plating wood (MDF)
I have recently heard of an application involving the nickel/chrome plating of wood, specifically MDF. If anyone has any info about the process I would greatly appreciate it. I live in Toronto Canada.
Thanks,

Hello Matt,
Maybe this is interesting for you: in the past I have carried out a "few" tests to cover the surface of LACQUERED wood with gold, using a wet technique. Adhesion is excellent, and the gold is shining yellow. Unfortunately shortage of money and troubles with my health forced me to stop the tests. There are some reproducable results. The thickness of the gold layer has been measured and compared to common 231/2 crt. gold leaf: it is 1/4 of that.

Hi, Matt, have you tried CVD method? Or salt decomposition method.
