Chemically etch nickel?

Hi Is there a way to chemically or electrolytically etch nickel plated parts to look frosted as if they were sand blasted. Thanks

Anodically in an acid will do it. I would look at nitric with ammonium bifluoride as a starting point.5 volts in a spent chrome plating bath will also, but that is messy.
