FINE TEXTURE ON TITANIUM

We are trying to determine how to to achieve the fine textured surface found on expensive titanium-body cameras, such as the Leica Minilux. Someone suggested it may be a glass-beaded process(possibly using 80-micron glass beads) and then a finish on top. Can you provide any information on this or can you tell us who might know? Thank you.

I have been finishing titanium for several years, from RA60's, to mirror finishes. I am not familiar with the camera finishes that you described; however, if you would like to contact me, I might be of some help to you.

Hi, I'm a teacher at Lincoln Middle School in La Crosse, WI. My students wanted to know the texture of titanium and the state at room temperature. If possible, let me know or reply before the month is over.

Thanks,

It's a solid metal which looks a lot like aluminum but is heavier.
