Anodizing Specification UN-D 469 18+-2 Micron

2004

I am currently making parts out of 5083 Aluminum (UNS A95083) for use in the electronic chip manufacturing industry. The part was designed in Holland and calls out a anodizing specification that I am not familiar with (UN-D 469 18+-2 Microns). Further it states that the anodizing should be glueable. The part is not large. It is 8" x 12" x 1.25".

If anyone can help me identify this anodizing callout as well as recommend a source it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

UN-D 469 is a philips standard but withdrawn. It refers to another philips standard: UT-D 115. This is also withdrawn.

I finally found a referral to the ISO 7599 standard.

When using UN-D 469 it should include the colour and coating thickness. 18+-2 Microns is this thickness but your drawing doesn't include the colour.

For information on the glueability of the anodised part I must refer you to an glue manufacturer.
