-----Continuous Phosphating
-
I am searching for a source to provide continuous black phosphating for thin (.005" thick) Cold Rolled Steel ranging from 1" to 3" wide. It has been extremely difficult to find a source on the West coast. If anyone has a source for such a process I would appreciate it.

It has been a while since I was involved with phosphate, but a thickness is an unusual measurement since much of it is like needles. Processing can cause very long needles that are widely separated or more densly packed. Coating weight per unit of area is the normal way of specifying quantity. It is moderately brittle, so the flexing of the metal from continuous processing is going to cause cracking at that thickness. (I think) I believe that there are very few companies involved with continuous strip phosphating.

Have a good time, I am very glad to see your site , I want to know some informations about continuous phosphating & pickling, in the line of color coating sheet steel.
Thank you very much,
