Nickel and Chrome Oxide

I was asked by a Taiwanese company to investigate the market potential for nickel Oxide and Chrome Oxide which they hope to manufacture. Can you tell me the application for these oxides? Thank you

Does your company provide a chemical for electroplating, or driving a reaction with electric current? Is it workable without electric current, and if so, what are the byproducts, and how can they be made nontoxic or turned into a new product to sell to someone else? After these questions are answered NO, YES, and EASY, I can see using it to blacken ring binder metals. Many are now painted with powder coat epoxy method. Blackening in a solution and drying would be easier, possibly longer lasting and more durable.

What affects would NiO have on the melting point of a Pd-Cu-Ag braze material. It would appear to me that after melting the braze in the presence of NiO the braze is left with a lower melting point.

Any light on this matter would be greatly welcomed
