Is there an STANDARD(S) specifications for electrolytic chrome plating on zinc alloys (zamak) surfaces, different classes, thickness, finishes, etc. mainly for automotive and marine outdoors applications.

The automotive companies have their own internal standards for electrodeposited chromium coatings on zinc surfaces. Two examples are DaimlerChrysler Process Standard PS-8893 and Ford Engineering Materials Standard ESB-M1P23-B.
