-----Using and Cleaning an Overheated Pan
My wife overheated a favorite steel pan, copper clad and then steel over the copper. We are unable to completely clean the blackened inside bottom surface. Is the pan still safe to use? And is there a way to clean the surface?

You can use 00 steel wool ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] or very fine sandpaper.
