Electroplating on PPSU




We are manufacturer of poly sulfone and poly phenylene sulfone. We are not able to do electroplating on ppsu. Tried dmf for etching at room temp. then in pd catalyst- electroless nickel -cu plating then ni and then cr. but not successful, as it peel out. pl. suggest?

Hi, Narenra. In my experience the best resource for plating on plastic, although it's very hard to find, is "Standards & Guidelines for Electroplated Plastics". It may explain why you are having etching difficulties.

Few plating shops know how to manufacture PPSU. Maybe an experienced plating shop or process supplier should develop the plating procedure? Good luck.
