Silverware oxidation has been lost

Since my sterling silver flatware was put in the dishwasher all the oxidation that showed off the designs has disappeared. How do I get that back in the crevices so the design is beautiful again? Thank you so much for a resource for this repair.

Try this with one piece first to see if it's too much work for you. Put the silverware in a plastic bag with a crumbled hard boiled egg overnight (this suggestion courtesy of James Watts). Then it should be dark all over. Now clean the high spots with silver polish. Let us know what happens.
