Pinholes in epoxy powder coating on grey castings

After coating castings and viewing under microscope we find pinholes. Castings are preheated to metal temperature prior to powder booth. Castings then are cured at metal temperature. What is root cause of problem? is it an outgassing problem or is it a flow problem with the powder. Please advise so we can solve problem . any consultant with experience in powder coating of grey iron castings with epoxy powder is welcome.
