Lacquer problems

Hi,

We are making fine jewellry recovered withgold and silver and have a problem with the lacquer finishing.

We are using the CLEARLYTE lacquer fron ENTHONE-OMI and don't have much problems with it but when we lacquer chains we have the problem that they get hard so we have to manipulate them to recover the flexibility once had.

Someone knows a mechanism to avoid this work?

How can we get tha chains not to be hard?

Dis someone knows another type of cataphoretic lacquer that won't make the chains hard after the cure?

Jamyl,

Common problem due to the thickness of Clearlyte being deposited. If you reduce time and/or voltage that may help or just use an air drying dip lacquer on your chains.

We have the same problem so we now will not process very fine chains only heavy links that break-up easily.
