How to blacken brass by immersion at room temperature

Sir,

We want to know that how we can color brass permanently black by a dipping process at room temperature. I have tried many, but never succeeded. If you have any process prior to heating, then let me know about it.

As far as I know, liver of sulfur ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] solution will reliably darken brass (provided of course that it is unlacquered so the solution can get to it.
