Need help quoting e-coated parts

Is there a base price for E-coat such as price per square foot or weight of part? and if so what is an average price? I am new at this and put in a situation where I have to price parts for coating.

It isn't clear what you are a supervisor of, Mr. Tatham. If you are working for an e-coating shop, you really can't ask other shops what you should quote. But if you are, for example, a machine shop, you should have no problem getting quotes from e-coat shops. Please clarify, and good luck.

The answer will vary by location and competition. Existing shops can and will drop their prices to drive you out of business (unless you are independently wealthy). The price is whatever the market will bear. It sounds to me like a proposed new shop or section. You really have to do a well researched and well thought out business plan.
