-----Will watering herbs from galvanized water cans hurt us?
I am growing herbs in our house to use for cooking. I have been using a galvanized watering can to water the herbs. Does anyone know of any dangers of the galvanized coating of the can getting into the plants?
Thanks,

Don't panic, John. There are much more significant dangers with every breath. It is true that galvanized surfaces should not be used as food contact surfaces, but the metals in the can are already in the soil and available to the plants anyway. Zinc (galvanizing) is an essential nutrient, not a poison.
