Lacquer Coating

We do a lot coating of brass. What is recommended as a most durable lacquer on the market, that will last for years? Also is there a spray-on lacquer that is stronger than E-Coating?

Hello Anthony,

A urethane or baked coating are sprayable and comparable to e-coat. Hope that helps.

The system of Acylic Amino can give a good hard film in comparison to E-coats. Even a good Thermoplastic Acrylic Coat can give a durability for a limited period.

Dear Sirs,

Have you considered transparent polyester powder coating. Most transparents contain UV absorbers - but you must carry out evaluation to check on resistance to darkening - adhesion and scratch resistance should be much better than any liquid product you may have tried up to now.

You can use Incralac [on eBay or Amazon] -special lacquer for copper and its alloys (USA product, acryl based) or Ormocer lacquer (polysiloxane based, EU product).

You can also try Nikolas #9778 Acrylic Urethane! Should I list the prices here too?
