-----High IR absorbing coating for a crystal
I'm looking for a high absorbing coating (in the far IR region,i.e. 8-14 micron (700-1200 cm-1))that has to be applied on a crystal. It doesn't have to resist to high temperatures but it has to have low thermal conductivity. What I need is to measure the temperature of the crystal with an infrared thermocamera (the crystal is transparent in the IR region). Aluminium oxide (PVD tecnnique)would work, but I can't find absorbing information and so I can't calculate the thickness of the coating (it should be few micron, so the conductivity still remains low).
Thanks to everyone.

Try Gold Black. These are used as the absorbing surfaces on many types of IR detectors.
