-----Plating copper buss bars
I am a process engineer for a company that produces energy controls and surge protection devices. We are designing a series of copper buss bars to be used in one of our applications. The copper bar is 0.375" wide x 0.125" thickness consisting of various lengths. I am looking for a relatively inexpensive method for protecting these from corrosion. Our plating vendor suggested yellow chromate while a fellow engineer suggested bright dipping them. Are there any other reasonable methods I should look into?

BRIGHT DIPS PROVIDE VERY LITTLE CORROSION PROTECTION. YELLOW CHROMATE IS VERY GOOD. SOME NICKEL PLATE COPPER BUSS BARS FOR CORROSION PROTECTION.
