-----Protective coating for exterior copper
I just installed a 4' X 2' X 1.5' copper shroud and chimney cap on a chimney chase. I would like to keep it bright and untarnished. I live in a dry climate (15% RH) with 100F Summers and 10F Winters. What aerosol spray would protect the copper and not yellow or crack?

Hello,
You might want to check and make sure there isn't a coating on the copper already. If there is no coating, wipe the copper down with a cleaning thinner and apply an acrylic lacquer. Acrylics won't yellow, but they might start to peel and crack in time.
