Brushed brass finish

We are re-having a bathroom with exposed brass shower piping. We are trying to get the new brass piping, which is dull, to match the brushed brass mixing valve cover plate and handles. What is the procedure to change the factory dull finish to the brushed brass look. Thank you for your help.
