Alodine 1200 vs 1500

What is the difference between Alodine 1200 and Alodine 1500.
Can I use Alodine 1500 in place of Alodine 1200?
Material being treated are all made of aluminum alloys.

As far as I know, Alodine 1500 is designed for clear coatings while Alodine 1200 will give a light iridescent gold. Check with the supplier to ensure that this is the only difference.

In short No! Or at least not always. Alodine 1200 and 1500 produce a different coating.
The most obvious difference being the colour.

Alodine 1000 and 1500 are similar enough for one to be considered an alternative process for the other.

I would like to know if Alodine 1500 or 1200 is RoHs Compliance!
