-----Rework of cosmetic/minor damage
Looking to find some answers on repairs to minor and cosmetic damage to aluminum surface to restore the anti-corrosive protection. This surface is glass beaded then coated with a chromate finish.

Hi, Kevin. There are
MIL-DTL-5541
[⇦ this spec on DLA] approved touch-up kits for chromate conversion coated surfaces. Some require no rinsing.
If this is not MIL work, there are even a few customers who approve the use of a "magic marker" when the need is solely cosmetic
:-)
Good luck.
