Removal of zinc coating on inside of galvanized pipe

How to remove Galvanized coatings inside the steel pipe, which are to be ceramic lined, with out any corroding effect to the pipes?

Hi, Satya. Inhibited HCl should remove it almost instantly. That does not mean that inexperienced people can do it safely because, among other problems, there will be rapid release of a lot of hydrogen gas. After the removal, neutralize with a dip in a solution of sodium bicarbonate. Good luck.
