Treatment for 2B finish to a uniform appearance

I have designed and built a framework structure using 7 ga 304 S.S. The outside surfaces have been polished to a #7 mirror finish, the inside surfaces have a 2B finish, I am looking for a method or material that will create a uniform appearance to the 2B finish without sanding, buffing, or disassembly of the framework. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Bo. You have ruled out mechanical treatments, so you are apparently looking for a chemical that will create a uniform finish on the stainless steel, starting from a non-uniform finish.

I am not sure that success is possible, but I would start with an alkaline detergent solution or pumice on eBay or Amazon [affil link] and a scrub brush on eBay or Amazon [affil link] to remove any oils, dirt, and finger prints, then try a citric acid passivating solution, available from Stellar Solutions [a finishing.com supporting advertiser].
