Removing Rust from Copper Cow Bell

I have an old copper cow bell which is completely covered in rust.
I have been using Barkeepers Friend ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] to try and remove the rust but is is slow going.

What is best to remove rust from copper.

FOR YOUR PROBLEM TAKE 10% SULFURIC ACID AND CLEAN AND DRY. OXIDATION WILL NOT FORM.
