Effect of Tarniban coating on thermal conductivity

Will Tarniban inhibit thermal conductivity into and through a thin Silver or Silver plated Copper part? The part will be held in contact with a heated and oiled surface with the temperature measured on the other side of the part. Also, will motor oils dissolve or attack Tarniban on Silver heated to as high as 400F?

Hi, John. Tarniban is an exceptionally thin tarnish inhibitor and I can't imagine it affecting thermal conductivity. You had misspelled Tarniban, and that may have been slowing you down in tracking it to its source. Tarniban is a product of Technic, and I'm confident that they can tell you if it is resistant to your motor oils. Good luck.
