Compatibility of Pecora caulk with Tnemic

Q. We are using a "Pecora" pick proof caulk in a jail we are building. The Tnemic paint we are using on the block and door/frames is not adhering to the pick proof caulk around the doors. Do you know if the Pecora and the Tnemic paint are compatible or not. Thank you if any insight you may have regarding our problem.

A. Currently closing out jail job w/ pecora caulk & Tnemic floor paint -- no problems w/ compatibility or with latex or oil painted walls +doors.
There was a problem when soap was used to smooth the caulk + mineral spirit residue not wiped clean -- had to be re-cleaned for proper bonding.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
