Substrate surface treatment.

2003

When we use the chromium plating surface toform, the surface does not have good plating.
There is a very thin layer and peel off.

Please advise.

When you say the layer is very thin and peels off do you mean the deposited metal being electroformed or the chrome on the mandrel? PLease give more details. What is the metal being deposited and the type of bath including basic parameters. Also, please give details about your mandrel (base material, surface roughness, treatment, etc.).

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
