2003

We manufacture assemblies for defense & aerospace industries. We use En8, En19 Ms components & SS 304 ,316 components. What would you recommend as a suitable finishing process to clear Salt spray test as per MIL 810D or JSS 55555.

Thanks,

Sorry, I don't have those standards handy. Assuming you do, how many hours are they looking for? Certainly there are a number of coatings that will pass salt spray tests, electroless nickel or powder coating, for example.

Dear Sir

You can try out Arcor process process for better salt sparay test. Actually I don't know the standards you have specified. But in general MS material, after Arcor processing it will with stand from 150 to 200 Hrs. I am working in tribology India ltd, hosur. arumugam
