Acid chemistry
I am running a bench reaction in which I am using a steel temp. probe to monitor my reaction temp. One of the raw materials I am using is Hydrochloric acid. I ended up with a green layer on my temp. probe which in turn discolored my batch. Is the acid eating up my steel?
Thanks.,
