Metal roof re-paint

I am repainting my metal roof. Do you have any suggestions on preparation, priming and painting. What type of paint to use, how to apply it and also where can I purchase it.

Dennis, try one of your local paint stores. If you don't get a good answer at the first one, try another. Any good store should have all the information you need and the materials to do the job.

There are two options one comes from ICI and the other comes from Albersons Roof glaze in Florida. The ICI is epoxy and Albersons is acrylic. ICI last about 3 Years and Alberson's is warranted for 5. As with all painted surfaces the prep is the Key.

The best paint that I am aware of for metal roofs is calbar roof paint. Two coats of the Showerproof WB will give about 10 years of service.
