Determination of nitric acid in the concentrated acid

Inquiry on Nitric Acid I was trying to determine the purity of nitric acid in the concentrated acid and as well as the purity of sulfuric acid in the concentrated acid. Can you please help me out in this situation how to determine the above chemical reactions.

Are you asking for the concentration of each acid or the purity. Concentration is a simple titration against a primary standard. Purity will be expensive and variable depending on what it is that you are interested in as the offending material.

If you are interested in measuring the trace ion content, Ion Chromatography is an effective tool. Other metals can be effectively measured using AA, ICP and ICP-MS.
